With the aim of realizing carbon neutrality by 2050, Japan has set a target to reduce greenhouse gas by 46% in FY2030 from its FY2013 levels. To support the achievement of this target, we will promote the recycling of steel scrap, import ferroalloys essential to the development of technologies with high environmental performance, such as EVs and wind power generation, and engage in businesses of recycling rare metals from waste materials and environmental conservation.

We are creating a flow to reuse recycled steel, a resource buried in Japan, in order to satisfy the demands for steel that will build the framework of the country. At the same time, we are providing a stable supply of auxiliary materials from all around the world to change the properties of steel and add value to it, such as silicones, manganese, chromium, and nickel.
